DEAR WV DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS EMPLOYEE:

On behalf of the officers and members of Local 2001 , we welcome you and invite you to become a part of the CWA team. Local 2001 represents approximately 500 employees of Frontier, AT&T Mobility, the staff of the newly formed Education West Virginia, WV Department of Corrections Officers, Avaya, and Alcohol Beverage Control Commission (ABCA).

Our office is located at 2512 Kanawha Blvd E, Charleston WV 25311 and our phone number is 304 344 2001. We hold monthly membership meetings in Charleston on the second Thursday of each month at 6pm. Members can also join the meetings virtually. At these meetings we not only discuss the business of the union, but the day to day problems incurred by our members.

Included in your benefits as a union member is the right to vote on union policies, your contract, and the officials you want to represent you. We have an annual kids Christmas breakfast/party, and various other social events. Most important, you have the right to union representation on the job. By joining Local 2001, you will be a part of a team of co-laborers united for the mutual protection of our common interests.  Membership dues are set at $15 per month which is a small contribution to ensure you have representation in the workplace. 

CWA has a Constitution that outlines the policies of the union and Local 2001 is governed by Bylaws that outline our local structure and policies. We have eight elected officials on our Executive Board. Those current officers are:
